My heart is opening, expanding, and the more I allow the light to come in, the brighter it radiates from me. More and more, I feel joy, and the sadness that used to have a lingering presence deep within me has slipped away.
This is happening because I am stepping into a new way of being – or maybe rediscovering and reconnecting with who I am and always have been. The layers that have shielded and protected this soul from showing itself in its most authentic form are slowly being peeled away. This soul that is the essence of who I am is a bright light and in its purest form is love.
As I write, I feel that love wrapped around me like a warm blanket, and it penetrates every cell in my body.
What do you feel when you encounter this light in yourself or others? Do you fear it and hide from it because you don’t want to be seen or because you are afraid of what it will reveal in yourself? Do you try to snuff it out? Or, do you run to it and embrace it, connect with it and allow it to peel away the layers that shield your own soul.
This light is you as well, for we are connected. It is a beautiful journey when you take a step out onto this path and begin to explore where it will take you.

Leah Schroeder is a Reiki Practitioner and ThetaHealing® Practitioner, www.lifeforcehealingservices.ca, and a Financial Representative. “I was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. For most of my 47 years this has been and currently is the place I call home. I have been working in Financial Services for the past 16 years educating people about their finances, helping them restructure and reduce debt, invest for the future and properly protect their families. A strong sense that there is something more I am supposed to do in the world, a fascination with energy and a series of intuitive nudges has led me to begin practising Reiki and now ThetaHealing®. I have a desire to learn and practise other healing modalities, as well as serve children and empower young women around the world. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my thoughts and stories with you.”
