The Warrior Queen

I wish this torment would leave me be
The voice in my head cares not for my happiness
It fights and cajoles and hates
Some call it ego, some the devil.
My inner mean girl, nasty bitch, poor love.

The goddess, her voice is quiet.
She won’t fight to be heard.
She speaks gently, softly, sweetly.
Too softly sometimes. Sometimes I wish she would shout and scream over the bitch.
But she won’t.

The combination of both is the warrior Queen.
She has both in hand, the wild bitch and the angel.
She tends to both.
She judges neither.
Long Live the Warrior Queen.

  1. I adore this piece. Elegantly written and very true. Sublime. Love the importance and non-judgement it brings to the two halves of a woman.
