One of my greatest challenges is that I give so much of myself that I get depleted. I often play the role of being the person others can count on to come to the rescue when something needs to get done. I do that with my family when it comes to caring for my aging parents. For the last several years I have been involved in a large fundraising event in my city. My intention was to step away and play a lesser role this year. When the person that agreed to take over my tasks wasn’t working out, once again, I came to the rescue to save the day. Once again, I find myself in a place of feeling depleted.
I am grateful for the mentors I have, and for Spirit, for constantly reminding me of the importance to live from a place, where my cup is full and what I give to the world in infinite abundance is the overflow. In that way, I honour myself, I am never depleted, and there is always something for others.
So Just for Today
I Create Space for Myself
I Take Time to Breathe
I Honour Myself
I Love Myself
I Refill My Cup
I Return to a Place of Wholeness
I Recommit to Letting Go of things that no longer serve me.
As I was writing this, a Christian Song I learned when I was younger, came to mind:
Like the Woman at The Well I was seeking
For Things that Could Not Satisfy;
And Then I Heard My (Spirit) Speaking:
“Draw from my Well that never shall run dry.”
Fill My Cup, Lord
I Lift it Up, Lord
Come and Quench, This Thirsting of My Soul;
Bread of Heaven, Feed me till I want no more –
Fill My Cup, Fill it up and Make Me Whole.

I Give This Gift to Myself Today, so what I have to give to the world tomorrow, is an abundance of Love, Generosity, and Service, that flows through me, but not away from me, like the overflowing well, that never runs dry.

Leah Schroeder is a Reiki Practitioner www.lifeforcehealingservices.ca and Financial Advisor. “I was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. For most of my 46 years this has been and currently is the place I call home. I have been working as a Financial Advisor for the past 15 years educating people about their finances, helping them restructure and reduce debt, invest for the future and properly protect their families. A strong sense that there is something more I am supposed to do in the world, a fascination with energy and a series of intuitive nudges has led me to begin practising Reiki. I have a desire to learn and practise other healing modalities, as well as serve children and empower young women around the world. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my thoughts and stories with you.”
